Assessment by hapkido-info.net On the imitation leather cover of this book is written in golden letters: ”Basic training. Introduction to the art of self-defense.” and meets rather exactly the contents. In this book Ewald Pilz tries again to instruct Hapkido pupil degrees in the basis of the Hapkido training. In addition, also master degrees will surely find some suggestions here for their instruction. In the following I want to describe briefly some chapters of this book. General Breathing techniques Falling techniques Balance, position, and steadiness This book is no collection of techniques. The represented techniques rather clarify the Hapkido principles. All pictures of this book are well illuminated and sufficiently available. The descriptions of the pictures are absolutely sufficient. I can most warmly recommend this book to Hapkido beginners. Advanced students and masters will probably not find much new in this book, but the summarized basis. Picture quality: Good
Comment of the Author The book is an introduction to the Hap Ki Do according to the training of the OEHKDB. The book has the function to facilitate the way to the Hap Ki Do for interested persons. One finds all important theoretical bases to training as well as the first techniques (drop school, breath techniques, self-defense techniques) in pictures including explanations. Format A 4, 83 pages, imitation leather cover with gold-colored imprint.
